ABOUT
I’ve always been a little radical. It’s been both a blessing and a curse. My dad said what he loved most about me is that I take big risks. He also said it’s what he likes least.
I started selling handbags at the local mall at 14. I didn’t know it at the time, but my fashion career had already begun, learning sales, visual merchandising, understanding body language, and the art of connecting with people.
I’ve always been an achiever, graduating college in just three years, completing multiple journalism internships, helping open a Michigan Avenue Topshop flagship store, styling mannequins at Coach, selling Lucky denim to lost dudes, and attending every industry event I could.
At 22, with no money and living in a 250 sq ft apartment, I fearlessly launched a clothing line, sewing every piece myself while juggling odd jobs. I showed that collection in Chicago’s Millennium Park. It was a PR stunt, certainly not a money maker, but it earned me a seat at the Macy’s Fashion Incubator, where I received mentorship, office space, and workspace for two years to help launch my brand. I also styled my collection with Nike footwear, which landed me a dream job where I spent the next eight years.
At Nike, my most noteworthy achievement was being on the team that helped build the All Conditions Gear franchise, earning two patents along the way. I learned outerwear design from some of the best women in the industry, designed energy collections for Nike Sportswear, and built collaborations in NikeLab with designers like Sacai, Stussy, Pigalle, Clot, Koché, and others. I also worked on the Tech Fleece franchise, receiving another two patents. I co-led the Sustainability Club for the entire design community and helped bring the Circular Design Guide to life. I did all of that living in a barn, at a vineyard, and a cherry orchard. More on that in my book.
After years inside one of the most iconic brands in the world, I realized success without freedom wasn’t enough. In 2022, I chose to step away from Nike and redefine what a full life could look like. Covid became the catalyst for a new adventure. Drawn by pristine beauty and a hunger for adrenaline, I landed in Southeast Alaska, where I’ve been building a new reality rooted in craft, adventure, and freedom. I make glass art, hike/ski whenever I can, and am constructing a cabin from the ground up. I’m surrounded by one of the highest concentrations of artists in the state. Winters are dark. Summers are magic. Life feels fully alive.
I’ve stayed in the apparel industry for nearly 20 years, working in sustainable fashion and freelance projects ranging from March Madness basketball gear to fly fishing, cycling, golf, extreme sports, and women’s contemporary. Life hasn’t been boring.
Now, I’m using my radical life to coach and mentor designers. My book launches March 2026. Stay in touch via Instagram for the official release.
